Palmetto State : 2018 State Rankings
The Palmetto State 2018 State Rankings are out. Plenty of movement and this season we have 165 kids in the rankings. Take a look at some of the players on the list right here.
Zion Williamson makes himself at home in the #1 in the 2018 Class. Really no surprise here. Williamson has been offered by Clemson, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina and South Carolina to name just a few schools. Williamson will look to lead the Griffins for a 3-peat in the SCISA 2-A ranks.
Aaron Nesmith with a big spring and summer for TMP made a jump into the #2 slot for the 2018 class. Nesmith recently visited the University of South Carolina. Vanderbilt and Florida are both receiving along with some others. Nesmith helped the Porter Gaud Cyclones to a back to back state championship this past March.
Sharone Wright Jr. has given a early pledge to Wake Forest University. Wright Jr. transferred this off season to Legacy Early College in Greenville, SC. Wright will hold down the #3 slot.
Jimmy Nichols recently committed to Providence. Nichols from Conway HS played AAU this summer with Garner Road. Nichols checks in at the #4 slot.
Jake Lanford had a big summer and made the jump up to the #5 slot in the 2018 class. Lanford plays with Nesmith on TMP and at Porter Gaud. Lanford has plenty of schools with strong academics on him.
Robert Braswell, Isaih Moore and Alex Caldwell check in at 6-8 spots in the rankings.
Gabe Bryant recently committed to Gardner Webb. Bryant plays at Dorman HS. Bryant is ranked #9.
Jalen Slawson is the 3rd TMP player in the Top 10 has committed to Furman University. Slawson 6’7 plays at Pinewood Prep in Summerville.
Dontarius James and Trey McGowens have both left the Palmetto State for other schools. James is now at Huntington Prep (WV) and McGowens is at Hargrave Military (VA).
