DMV Elite 80 Observations: Virginia in the House Part 2.
Emmanuel Aghayere, 6’6″,F, 2018. South Lakes Seahawks HS Reston VA.
Grassroots Team: Team Pro Look 17U
Emmanuel looks like a D1 football DE and he plays the part. He made one of the hardest dunks of the day, shocking some onlookers who did not know Emmanuel has Charles Barkley hops & explosion .Our own Adam Aylew is well aware of Emamuel & said on June 28, “Emmanuel possesses a robust frame, which he uses well in the paint area. The bruising 6-foot-5 power forward can move bodies down low.He sets monster screens, and is absolutely relentless on the glass. Aghayere is long, and does a great job tipping rebounds to himself in crowds. He’s a quick leaper. He contests shots with purpose and aggression. Aghayere is a tireless, strong big who plays much bigger than his listed height.”
Tymu Chenery, 6’6″, WG/WF ,2020 Episcopal Maroon, Alexandria, VA.
Grassroots team: Team BBC:
Last season Tymu was a star on Dunbar HS in Baltimore & averaged 15ppg & 4 rpg. He has since transferred to Episcopal HS just outside of Washington, DC in Alexandria, VA. Tymu is a very long & athletic WG who excels at attacking the rim. He uses his wingspan to grab rebounds, score inside & block shots.. Tymu has excellent & quick reactions to the ball in addition to very quick 1st & second jumps. In our opinion he will be a impact player for Episcopal this season.
Brayden Gault, 6’4″, WG, 2018. Battlefield Bobcats HS. Haymarket, VA.
Grassroots Team: Team Takeover Grey
Brayden had an excellent summer for TTO Grey. He plays with a very high iq, and is a dead eye sniper from 3. Brayden can score from all 3 levels & get his shot off when he is under defensive pressure. He has a very nice bounce in his shot & elevation. Brayden excels from the triple threat position & possess very good decision making skills. He can weave his way in & out of traffic & finish at the rim thru contact. Brayden is very crafty & can get his shot in the mid range & he is is an excellent facilitator from any location on he court. On September 10 in the DMV Elite 80, Brayden looked leaner & quicker than 5 months ago & he has the potential to move up from a D2 recruit to a D1 mid major, if not already.

Jordan Hairston, 5’10”, PG, 2019. Westfield Bulldogs HS. Chantilly, VA.
Grassroots Team: Team BBC
Jordan’s stock is on the rise & he showed why in the DMV Elite Showcase. He proved he is a Pure PG with a a great handle & an excellent passing skills. Jordan has very quick 1st step, excellent acceleration & changes gears very well off the dribble. He scored very well without taking many shots. In one game he shot 5-5 which included 3-3 from 3. Jordan is receiving interest from multiple D1 schools & in our opinion he will be receiving D1 offers in the near future. We are impressed with Jordan in all phases of basketball. We like his highly developed skill set, leadership, very high IQ & demeanor. He proved he can translate his skills to some of the best players in DC/MD & Virginia.
Darius Hines, 5’11”, PG, 2018. Bishop Ireton Cardinals HS. Alexandria, VA
Grassroots Team: Team Takeover Orange
Darius is very skilled True PG who has old school type of game. He plays with a very high iq & sees the floor very well making the correct passes. Playing in the WCAC for Bishop Ierton since his freshmen year, Darius has faced some of the toughest competition in the nation night in night out for 3 years. As sophomore he averaged 11 ppg & improved to 15 ppg as a junior. Daruis has proven he can excel in the WCAC & Grassroots circuit where he played for Team Takeover Orange as their startig starting PG. Daruis can score from all 3 levels, control the pace of the game, and he is a winner who plays with great heart. He is currently ranked @ #27 in our Virginia 2017 state rankings & to date has been offered by D2 Millerville & Concordia. We believe his offers will increase in the near future with possibly some D1 mid majors offers will come his way. We will be providing extensive coverage for Bishop Ireton, Darius & his teammate this season
