Courtney Ramey Decommits from Louisville
The top ranked prospect in the PrepHoopsMissouri rankings Webster Groves 2018 point guard Courtney Ramey has decommitted from Louisville a source tells us. Louisville has come under serious investigation by the FBI and head coach Rick Pitino has been placed on unpaid leave from the program for recruiting violations allegedly involving five star recruit Brian Bowen. Ramey committed to Louisville back on February 3 and the point guard was supposed to be the centerpiece recruit for the Cardinals 2018 class. That will no longer be the case.
The 6’4” point guard has long arms and size for the lead guard spot. Ramey is an elite point guard prospect that can both score and pass. His vision and feel for the game are advanced at a young age. Ramey is an excellent facilitator finding his teammates and putting them in positions to score. We were really impressed with his transition passing this summer. Knows how to run a team in the half court as well getting his team in their sets and making quality decisions with the rock. Slick handles allow him to get in the lane where he makes plays for himself and others. Ramey is one of the premier point guards in the 2018 class nationally. Expect a ton of Midwest high-majors to be involved with the elite point guard.
