Class of 2019 Wing Sleepers
Who are some wing prospects in the class of 2019 that are flying a bit under the radar? We examine a few of those guys here.
SF Keenan Jones (Whitney Young)
Jones is a long and lanky small forward that is a potential 3 & D player for Whitney Young this year and long term. He has the length and lateral quickness to be a force defensively and is best offensively as a spot up shooter along with finishing in transition.
SF Landon Wolfe (Effingham)
Wolfe is a tough as nails wing from southern Illinois. He had a monster spring and summer running with the Illinois Bears. The junior wing can score at all three levels with his toughness at the rim and plus pull up jump shot.
SG Justin Eagins (Downers Grove South)
Eagins is a 6’2” lefty two guard that emerged with his play for Kessel Heat 16U. Crafty combo guard that shoots it well pulling up and working around screens.
SF Johnny Roeser (Carmel)
Roeser is a skilled wing that is an excellent passer. Makes quality decisions with the ball and does the little things well. Solid shooter.
SG Marquise Kennedy (Crete Monee)
Kennedy is a prospect that is wired to score! Rangy and athletic shooting guard that can score in the open floor and get hot in the half court. One to track his development this year.
SG Austin Gates (Bartlett)
Gates is a two way player that really stands out defensively. Active on ball defender that gets several steals a game and is a plus shooter.
SG Sean Houpt (Danville)
Houpt is a tough and versatile combo guard. The Danville lefty is one of the premier on ball defenders in the state. Offensively he is a sound passer and shooter.
SG Malcolm Miller (Shelbyville)
Miller brings great size at 6’4” to the table. His specialty is shooting the ball from the perimeter. Should have a huge year at Shelbyville.
SG Jamir Price (Rock Island)
Price is an athletic and rangy two guard that started to play with confidence and saw more production late in July for Quad City Elite.
SG Fillip Bulatovic (Maine South)
Liked what we saw out of this wing with All-In Athletics on the circuit. Athletic two guard with a plus jumper and the ability to score at multiple levels.
