Best Available: Minnesota 2018
Looking for talent in Minnesota’s 2018 class? Here are the top uncommitted prospects left in our state.
Top Five
Joe Hedstrom, 6-foot-10 center from Hopkins. Joe will be at Boise State this weekend for his official visit where he will also add a scholarship offer from their program. The Broncos will have to compete with the Wisconsin offer of 4 for 5 or 3 for 4 (depending on a red-shirt). Purdue also recently had Hedstrom in for a visit and Head Coach Matt Painter was at Hopkins to see him last week.
Calvin Wishart, 6-foot-3 guard from Delano. Wishart has visits coming up to Georgia Southern and Davidson. Wishart has some of the slickest handles in the state, has separation game ranks with the best, and of course he can shoot with feet set or on the move. Top unsigned PG in state.
Jarius Cook, 6-foot-3 guard from Park Center. Cook was visited by Northern Iowa last night who offered him a scholarship. Cook has been to Idaho State for a visit and will be soon taking one to NDSU. Cook has moved to a top ten level talent in this state’s talented senior class.
Adam Trapp, 7-foot-3 center from Esko. Adam dealt with injuries this past spring and summer but he looked very healthy in St. Cloud a couple weekends ago so he will be a center playing D1 basketball. There is a solid chance that he goes through the winter putting up massive numbers and then has D1 teams needing centers flocking to Esko as he would be a top spring recruit.
Matt Todd, 6-foot-1 guard from Monticello. Matt is quick as they come with the ball and has fantastic dribble separation ability. American and Denver will be in to see him this week as Todd is still open teams need lead guards.
Next Six
Sy Chatman, 6-foot-6 power forward from CDH. The explosive Chatman has a lot of potential which has led to his three D1 scholarship offers.
JaVonni Bickham, 6-foot-6 power forward from Minnehaha Academy. Bickham just visited Denver and has multiple D1 offers to consider.
Michael Schaefer, 6-foot-6 small forward from St. Cloud Cathedral. The touch of Schaefer as well as the competitive streak has him with numbers D2 offers.
Anthony Davis, 6-foot-1 shooting guard from Hopkins. Athletic slasher and defender who can also shoot at a higher percentage than credited for.
Goodnews Kpegogel, 6-foot-6 guard from North St. Paul. Has length and skills to play a few different spots.
Josiah Strong, 6-foot-1 shooting guard from Champlin Park. Strong has three D1 offers that he continues to consider.
