4 Players that Colleges should go see next week!
As the high school basketball season gets closer, we see colleges focusing in on recruiting players that they feel will be good fits for their program. Listed below are 4 players that colleges at the D1 level should be keeping an eye on as well stopping in to their open gym to see next week.
Village Christian Guard Junub Chuol: The 6’5 guard already holds offer from schools like Rutgers & UMass, he can score the ball very easily and also has nice athletic ability. Not only does he have the height but he also has the length that you love to see from a next level guard, he’s a MM+ prospect without a doubt.
Terry Sanford HS Guard Malik Johnson: Malik is a young man that I’ve personally known for many years now and he has developed into a very nice player. He competes hard and never backs down from a challenge, he has impressive explosiveness/speed and has improved shooting the ball each and every season. Expect a bigtime senior season from Malik as he has picked up offers and interest from MM+ programs.
Cape Fear HS Forward Myron Williams: Myron continues to improve each year and now it’s looking like he’s going to have a bigtime season behind his new head coach Alphonso Kee (former HC of Fayetteville State University). He can pick and pop as well as work on the block with nice efficiency, he has a gift for rebounding the ball and schools have taken notice. Fayetteville State, Chowan, UNCW and a few others have expressed interest as of recently.
Westover HS Forward Jalin Thorne: Anytime you have a player that comes out of Westover, you can be assured that they have been coached very well from Coach Stackhouse and that they have a certain level of toughness. Jalin has played varsity since his sophomore year and has a nice overall skillset, he can step out and shoot the trey ball while also playing with his back to the basket.
