Recruiting Report: Tauriawn Knight (2018)
One of the more intriguing 2018 Oklahoma prospects is Point Guard, Tauriawn Knight. He holds a Divison I offer from Charleston Southern University with several Division II schools hoping to land his talents as well. Knight is a Point Guard with a skill set that allows him to thrive at both the Point Guard spot or to play off the ball.
He has a solid handle with good court vision and crisp passes. As a scorer Knight dominates defenders getting to the rim and finishing strong. Another thing that puts Knight in a notch above others is the tenacity he plays with on the defensive end. Knight seems to come away with a few steals each game.
On Wednesday Knight informed Prep Hoops he has his first official visit planned on September 25th and 26th to South Dakota. Colleges recruiting Knight include Charleston Southern, South Dakota, ORU, Arkansas Fort Smith, Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern.
The recruitment of Knight will likely heat up as the season nears. It will be interesting to see if Knight signs early or waits until the late signing period in April. The school that lands Knight will get a player who is tough, versatile and works hard bringing it each game on the court.
Knight knows what he is looking for in a school.
“I am looking for a school that fits me best,” said Knight. “I want a place that feels like home when I go visit.”
Knight recently was named to the Prep Hoops Oklahoma 17U All-Grassroots 2nd team: https://prephoops.com/2017/08/prep-hoops-oklahoma-grassroots-teams/
