“More of a defensive player, but I’m working on my offensive skills, ” said John, who has only been playing basketball for five years now.”My defense, and the energy I bring are very underrated parts of my game.”
We saw John play well at Future All American Camp last week. This is a testament to the work he’s been putting in. College coaches are beginning to take notice, and John has seen his recruitment expand in recent months.
“I’m visiting Norfolk State in a couple weeks. I visited Hampton last year. Virginia Tech and Stony Brook each played host to me in June,” John stated. “I have offers from VA Tech, Stony Brook, ODU, Hampton.”
John says the most improved part of his game is his jump shot, and with how well he shot it at FAA, that’s not far fetched. He needs to continue to work more on his perimeter defense, and ball handling ability.
What can John bring to a college program?
“Energy. Defense. Someone who is willing to come in and work.”
