Prospect Spotlight: Elie Cadet (2018)
2018 forward Elie Cadet can play all over the floor.
At 6’4″, 185 lbs., is playing his final high school season at West Oaks. He transferred over there from Ocoee this past year.
He says his mid-range shot improved a lot as a junior. Cadet pointed to his defense as something he takes pride in and that he got a chance to work on his 3-point ball a lot at West Oaks.
Spending his fourth summer with the Showtime Ballers, Cadet worked on getting stronger and his 3-point shot over the last few months.
He started playing organized basketball in the 7th grade at Robins Wood Middle School.
Cadet called his defense and athleticism his biggest strengths. He says he wants to improve his overall offensive game the most.
Right now, Cadet holds one offer from Charleston Southern. He has drawn interest from Stephen F. Austin and James Madison as well.
At West Oaks, this will be a very solid season all around. Cadet is a player who is maturing. His defense is strong and if he can take that next step offensively, he’ll earn some low to mid-Divison I offers.
