The PHD All-17U Team
The 17u season is over and it’s time to honor the best players from the PHD area after an exciting season.
PHD 17U All State First Team
AJ Plitzuweit of Dakota Schoolers (Vermillion). AJ was likely the most consistent player in North and South Dakota overall this 17u season. The Augustana commit impressed heavily.
Aaron Fiegen of Dakota Schoolers (Madison). Carried over the winter success into grabbing division one interest with his skilled face-up play. Committed to South Dakota State shortly after getting NDSU and SDSU offers.
Cole Bergan of Pentagon National (Aberdeen Central). When it comes to being recruited as a prospect nobody in the Dakota could match the attention Bergan received. Showed the skill set of an inside/out four man.
Josh Sipes of ECI Prospects (Bismarck Century). Led ECI to the top ranking in the PHD area versus the toughest schedule anybody played in the Dakota region. Josh had a fantastic year before an injury knocked him out in late June.
Trevor Hanson of Dakota Schoolers (Sioux Valley). The Augustana commit gave his Schoolers team consistent inside production helping them to 26 wins which was the most of any Dakota team.

PHD 17U All State Second Team
Dylan LeBrun of Pentagon National (Flandreau). Was having a fantastic 17u year before injury cut the season in half. Did enough for the 25-6 National team (fewest losses of any program) to earn second team despite missing many games.
Trae Steckler of ND Phenom (Mandan). Nobody on this list played a more versatile game that Steckler. He did everything from play point to play center while giving consistent production every game.
Diang Gatlauk of Pentagon National (SF Lincoln). His second half of the season was what so many people have been waiting for. The potential that he has was seen by those in the crowd.
Jadon Janke of BBA Force (Madison). Jadon is the most underappreciated talent out there. The guy simply competes and consistently gets results. The football field sounds like the calling but he could play college hoops if he wants.
Will Pottebaum of SD Attack (LeMars IA). Will made plays every time we saw this team play. He’s a playmaker from Iowa that can play both guard spots and should have a massive senior year. Teams couldn’t slow Will down.
PHD 17U All State Third Team
Wyatt Hanson of ND Cougars (Stanley). Wyatt proved that he is one of the top two prospects in North Dakota in this class and earned second team status in his three or four events. D2s love him. Would be higher if he had played more.
Jayce Archambault of ECI Prospects (Solen). The guy knocks down shots. Confident in himself and consistent for ECI, Jayce is about to have a massive senior season. A favorite of all that watch him play.
Gus Reede of Pentagon National (Aberdeen Roncalli). The percentages went up this summer and the Pentagon was the big benefactor. Gus showed that he is a D2 level shooter which resulted in a commitment to Northern State.
Jordan Polynice of ND Phenom (Grand Forks Red River). Jordan had a first team level year, he just spent all of his spring at the 16u level with Howard Pulley so he only played in summer events for Phenom. A top two prospect in North Dakota.
Kade Amundson of ECI Prospects (Bismarck Century). Kade stepped up this summer in all the ECI events turning his how competitive levels and hitting shots facing the basket with higher percentages.
PHD 17U All State Fourth Team
Zach Heins of Pentagon National (SF Washington). Loved the way he passed, defended, rebounded, and played consistently.
Mason Larson of Dakota Schoolers (Langford Area). Mason was often a fourth scoring option for the Schoolers.
Koln Oppold of Dakota Schoolers (SF Christian). Koln can hit shots with feet set or on the move and he has more fight to him than we knew.
Ian Schafer of ECI Prospects (Bismarck). Provided toughness and consistency at the guard position for ECI.
Russell Morton of SD Heat (Douglas). Know the name. Had a couple all tournament performances for the Heat and is looking at a big senior season.
Joe Pistorious of ECI Prospects (West Fargo). The ECI outside weapon did what he was expected to do.
PHD 17U All State Fifth Team
Parker Stenseth of ECI Select (Fargo Davies). One of ND’s toughest.
Jaden Kleinhesselink of SD Attack (Sheldon, IA). Second Attack scoring weapon.
Chris Morales of BBA Stoebner (Tea Area). All event honored over and over.
Dawson Gueke of SD Heat (Sturgis). Had a couple great events in front of PHD.
Noah Jewett of Pentagon Jewett (Tri-Valley). Led his team to a nice 15-9 year.
Carson Rentz of BBA Force (Dell Rapids). Prep Hoops saw him hit 3x shots in a game in four different states.
