Downriver Bad Boys earned a rematch with Michigan United in the championship game. Michigan United used disciplined ball movement and strength on the glass to jump out to an early lead. They controlled the game for much of the first 30 minutes. The Downriver Bad Boys athletes, including Cam Hudson , then took over. The Bad Boys ended up with a three point win, taking home the Midwest Summer Shoot-Out 17u Championship.
Midwest Summer Shoot-Out Star of the Day: Cam Hudson (2019, Point Guard,Downriver Bad Boys/Detroit Loyola) – He is a very physically strong player, and he used that strength to get to the basket. Most impressive was his ability to find the open man and kick the ball when the lane closed on his drive. He also displayed nice range on his jumper, while always drawing the opposing teams best defender.
