Key Games to Start the ’17-18 Season
The basketball season for high school hoopers is right around the corner and why not take a look at some of the most promising games to start the season.
Spartanburg Day at Christ School (November 14th)
The highlight reel of Zion Williamson and Chandler Lindsey for Spartanburg Day come to Asheville, North Carolinato take on Christ School. Williamson is one of the top-3 players in the 2018 class in the country. His recruitment will come down to Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Clemson and South Carolina.
The Greenies also have a highlight waiting to happen player in Jalen Lecque. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has propelled himself into the talk among the top-20 players in the class of 2019. This will also be a chance to see 2019 forward Justice Ajogbor and how much he has improved since his all-conference selection as freshman season. He is one of the most skilled big men in the class and will be a national recruit this season.
Cox Mill HS vs Providence Day (November 25th)
The defending NCHSAA 3-A state champs bring back Caleb Carrawell and NC Associated Press Player of the Year Wendell Moore from last years team. Also in the mix this time around for Jody Barbee is UNC commit Rechon Black. Black is back after spending the past season at Montverde Academy in Florida. Providence Day features top-25 prospect Devon Dotson, legitimate top-150 wing
Trey Wertz and Isaac Suffren. Dotson is on an official visit to Arizona this week, Wertz just finished averaging 16 points per game for Team Loaded NC at Adidas Summer Championship. This game will take place in the always tough Charlotte Hoops Challenge.
Porter Gaud (SC) at Christ School (November 17th)
Top 100 2019 PG Josiah James and Top-100 2018 wing Aaron Nesmith come to town from Charleston, South Carolina to take on The Greenies.
