Bodie Hume commits to Northern Colorado
Bodie Hume led his high school team to a state championship, played as well as any player in Colorado during the spring and summer grassroots seasons and now has committed to play his college basketball at an up-and-coming Division I program.
That’s not a bad five months for the dynamic 6-7 forward out of Sterling.
Hume on Tuesday verbally committed to play his college ball at the University of Northern Colorado, joining Colorado Hawks teammate Sam Masten of Rock Canyon, who committed to coach Jeff Linder’s staff earlier this month.
“I’m a family guy and they felt like the best family for me on top of being a rising basketball program in the state of Colorado,” Hume said.
Hume averaged 15.7 points and 5.8 rebounds as a junior while leading Sterling to a 3A title. He only elevated his game while playing on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit this spring and summer, rapidly gaining the attention of D-I programs. He chose Northern Colorado over scholarship offers from 13 other programs.
Blessed to announce me commitment to a great program in a great state! I'm coming for your picture Beitzel! pic.twitter.com/wgkU3Qm7j4
