Big Shots Class of 2020 Standouts and Breakout 2019 Prospects.
VA Havoc 2020 Guard Malcolm Bridges: Nice potential in this youngster, he knocked down shots at a high rate from three point land especially from the corner. At 6’0 he has decent size for a wing at the next level already, but we expect him to ground some more over the next few years.
Fayetteville Elite 2019 Guard Deumbre Ginyard: Deumbre has improved greatly over the years and has added to his perimeter game, he knocked down the deep ball with consistency, especially in the 2nd half. What impressed me the most was the energy he played with and how well he fought for rebounds even though he was smaller than most of the players he matched up with.
Fayetteville Elite 2019 Wing Cam Billups: You have to like what we have seen from Cam when it comes to his improvement over the past years. The lefty seems to be more confident and can be counted on for some buckets each night, will be called on from Fayetteville Academy quite a bit next season.
FCF Ballers 2020 Forward Marcell Canty: He’s only 5’11 but he plays much bigger and with a high amount of heart and energy. No matter how much his team was down he kept on playing and giving everything he had, also he attacked the rim well and was quite productive. Many times we see that many youngsters simply throw it the towel and quit playing hard once their team is facing a large deficit but this isn’t the case for Marcell.
Fredericksburg Running Rebels 2020 Guard Jarius Aslhock: This young man is a flat out bucket getter, he can score the ball from multiple areas on the floor and scores it a high percentage. At 6’2 he can post up smaller players but has the speed and quickness to blow past players that are his height. There was a countless amount of times that his team called on him for a bucket and he produced.
