Team Preview: AZ Power North 17U
AZ Power North has had a history of surprising teams in the live period. They always play hard and with high basketball IQs. This group is no different as they are led by strong guard play. Their backcourt is solid and gets the rest of the teammates involved while putting the team in the right positions to be successful.
In addition to their solid guard play, Nick Morris has been a bright spot for this team. He is a skilled wing who should enjoy a lot of success at South Mountain. Morris will be helped greatly this weekend as the team travels to the Double Pump tournament with Christian Anigwe and Isaiah Rhymes. Anigwe and Rhymes are typically two of the top performers for the AZ Power Black 17U team and will be going with North this weekend.
This group has solid pieces and should be able to make a lot of noise this weekend in a tournament that will be jam packed with college coaches.

AZ Power North 17U Watch List
Tashon Brown
Brown is one of the toughest guards in the state. He can hurt teams in an array of ways. He shoots the basketball well off of the dribble from three and from mid-range. In addition, he stops well on a dime and has a couple of nice moves that he primarily uses to create separation and space. Moreover, he attacks the rim well and has a good basketball IQ.
Brady Giordono
Giordono is a knock down shooter who also has a high basketball IQ. He does a good job of picking his times to attack and finding the open teammate. Moreover, he manages the tempo of the game well and gets his guys into the right positions. Although Brown and Giordono largely share the backcourt, there different styles of play complement each other very well. In addition, these two should be poised to be very successful with the help of big man Christian Anigwe and versatile wing Isaiah Rhymes.
Nick Morris
Morris recently committed to South Mountain Community College. However, he will continue to compete with AZ Power North as they head to Anaheim for the Double Pump tournament. Morris has largely been the star of this team due to his versatile skill set on the wing. In addition to scoring the basketball in many different ways, he is a solid on ball defender who brings good length on defense.
