Recruiting Report: Zach Pfaffenberger (2018)
Zach Pfaffenberger, a class of 2018 power forward at Episcopal High School, is quickly developing into one of the more productive players at his position in the area. The 6’8 rising junior continues to improve physically, and is seeing positive benefits as a result.
“I’m a stretch 4, and I have a 3 point shot. I’m a hard worker who’s going to get rebounds and finish the ball in the basket,” Pfaffenberger stated. “One thing I do that most don’t see is that I create for people. I work to get teammates the ball.”
One thing we like about Pfaffenberger is that he doesn’t force things. He is very patient, and can score from a variety of areas on the floor. He’s been the most consistent big man for Team BBC during AAU season, and that is a testament to the work he’s put in.
“The most improved part of my game would be finishing above the rim and my dribbling,” Pfaffenberger explained. “I need to work on feeling more comfortable with the ball, and finishing with my left hand.”
Pfaffenberger has six offers to date, from Binghamton University, University of New Hampshire, Canisius, Youngstown State, Sacred Heart, and Mount St Marys. Ohio University, Loyola Maryland, JMU, William and Mary, Yale, Columbia, Radford, Air Force, Army, and Navy are among those expressing current interest. What can Pfaffenberger bring to a program at the next level?
“I can bring energy to a team. I work hard, and I want to get better at the game! Also I’m a great person off the court that a coach won’t have to worry about getting into to trouble!”
