Several Division I programs have inquired about the talented lead guard, from in-state low-majors to out of state high-majors.

“I have not yet talked to them (aforementioned schools), but they’ve spoken with my AAU coach a lot and they say they really like my game and they’re looking forward to continuing to recruit me.”
Jenkins also mentioned Tulane, Baylor and UCLA as schools which have shown some for of interest.
He went on to define what it is about him that these college coaches are liking.
“I like to consider myself a pass-first guard, but I can definitely score whenever I need to,” said Jenkins. “The strongest part of my game is my defense, and I like to use that to boost my offense.”
Last season as a sophomore, Jenkins was the starting point guard with 2A state champions Country Day. He earned all-district and all-state honors while doing so.
“I thought I played really well last year. I averaged about 10 points or so, and got my guys involved,” he said.
Now, as his 16U season with NOLA 23 wraps up, he mentioned what is is he’s hoping for over these last two July live periods.
“I’m just looking to win basically, and continue to get a lot of exposure. NOLA 23 does a really good job of getting us out there.” said Jenkins. “I’m just looking forward to continue and dominate the season.”
