Recruiting Report: Jeremy Robinson (2018)
Jeremy Robinson, a class of 2018 forward at Paul VI, has looked really good this spring and summer. Don’t be surprised if he has some big games during his senior season for Panthers Head Coach Glenn Farello.
“For people that have not seen me play. I’m an energetic type of player. The more and more active I am in a game, the more productive I will be. I have an all around type of game, but if I had to hang my hat on something it would be my defense and shooting,” Robinson, a native of North Carolina, explained. “I would say people don’t notice that I run the floor. Once I see that my teammate has a defensive rebound. I run my lane as hard as I can to try and get the easy bucket.”
Robinson was a key player for Garner Road during the loaded Hoop Group Southern Jam Fest, where they defeated DC Premier, Team BBC, and Boo Williams in their final three games to win the championship. One thing we’ve noticed about Robinson is that he looks more comfortable with the ball in his hands, and this is not a coincidence.
“In the last twelve months I have improved my defense and ball handling the most,” said Robinson. “My ability of seeing the next play before it happens is underrated. For example, when on defense being able to see the next pass for the steal.”
Right now, Robinson is being recruited by UNCW, Radford, JMU, UMBC, Nyack, Boston College, UCSB, USF, NCCU, Campbell, and Hofstra. What can he bring to a college program?
“I’ll bring a lot to a college program on and off the court. Bringing energy to the team and being coachable so I can learn and grow as a player. Off the court representing the school and basketball team the right way is is something I would take pride in.”
