Recruiting Report: Armaan Franklin (2019)
Armaan Franklin – 6’4” | SG | Cathedral High School | UAA G3 Grind
Recruiting Report following Recent Offers
Armaan Franklin has been turning heads all summer with G3 Grind on the Under Armour Association Circuit. The long, athletic, and aggressive guard has showcased his full arsenal this summer. He attacks the basket with strength and finesse. Franklin finishes strong around the rim, over defenders, and through contact with some force [https://twitter.com/unkle44artty/status/858841700382511104].
Throughout the spring with G3 Grind and Cathedral, Franklin has found himself a critical asset to his team’s success. With his versatility and ability to impact the game in so many ways, he is a true force between the lines [https://twitter.com/InTheGymHoops/status/866117742612668416].
His level of play isn’t going unnoticed and he got the recruiting scene buzzing. He handles the ball extremely well while using his dribbles to get to the basket. He’s also one of the more creative finishers in the Class of 2019 from the shooting guard position.
Franklin has shown improvement in his perimeter jumper in the past year and it will really open up the driving lanes for him to get to the basket consistently.
Not only is he becoming lethal on the offensive end, he’s also one of the better wing defenders in the Indianapolis area [https://twitter.com/PrepHoopsIN/status/885551047657365505]. With his length, strength, and ability to read into tendencies, he finds ways to get himself into passing lanes to disrupt the offense.
Armaan currently holds offers from IUPUI, Morehead State University, and Evansville University. Franklin’s most recent offer came from Evansville University on his visit.
Although he got these three offers this summer, he is most likely not done. UAA G3 Grind has some big exposure tournaments left and Franklin is sure to have coaches following him around to see him play at the level he is right now. Franklin is currently averaging 15.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game on the Under Armour Association Circuit.
Look for his list to continue to grow throughout the month of July and into his junior season at Cathedral. He will have a strong year under Coach Jason Delaney, definitely a player to keep an eye on moving forward.
