Recap: July Evaluation Period Session II
Although Missouri Prep Hoops spent the weekend at the Mullens High Profile Tournament in the Wichita area, we had our tentacles spread out following the Missouri kids who playing around the country during the second week of the July evaluation period. Here are some of the highlights:
A few Stock Risers
Davis Aufdembrink 6’2″ Missouri Combat 17U: The 2018 guard from CBC put on another dazzling shooting exhibition in leading the Combat to the Gold Division championship at the Adidas Three Stripes Tournament in St. Charles, MO. Aufdembrink made 38 3-pointers in five games, for an impressive average of seven per game. He made 11 3-pointers and scored 37 points in the victory over Capital City (IL) in the Gold Division championship game. He scored 28 points against Brad Beal Elite 16U in pool play and had 31 points and eight 3-pointers in another game.
Deandre Campbell 6’0″ Ramey-Jets United 17U: The 2018 point guard from Parkway Central has put together a couple of strong weekends in July. He enjoyed several good games at the NY2LA Summer Slam in Wisconsin. With his team shorthanded due to injuries, the thick-bodied point guard picked up his scoring by attacking the basket and getting plenty of nice finishes while continuing to play his sticky defense. He was rewarded for his efforts by receiving his first Division I offer from Navy.
Cam’Ron Fletcher 6’5″ Ramey-Jets United 15U: The 2020 wing from Vashon had a big weekend at the NY2LA Summer Slam in Wisconsin. Fletcher is a smooth swingman with good length and an excellent stroke from 3-point range. He scored 25 points in a victory over the Wisconsin Jets and 24 points in another win over Yanders Law. Fletcher has already been offered a Division I scholarship from Missouri State in June.
