Prospect Spotlight: Duncan Hall (2019)

Miamisburg junior Duncan Hall (2019) is a two sport nightmare. When he is not striking out batters for the Vikings baseball team, he is dominating the boards and scoring in bunches for the basketball team. He chatted with me about playing baseball as well as his basketball skills and his future goals.
Duncan’s offseason has been far from relaxing. Usually, he would work on his basketball game early on in the day and play baseball in the afternoon. However, because basketball is so far off, he has not been doing too much work and has been focusing more on his baseball game and for good reason. Hall is a University of Louisville baseball commit and has been focused on continuing to improve his pitching. Right now, Duncan is unsure if he will continue to play basketball for Miamisburg.
“I really want to play basketball but the bad thing is what if I get injured playing basketball?”
There have been players in the past that have chosen not to play basketball so they can focus on their other sport. Hopefully, Duncan will not follow that path because he is an incredible basketball player. He is a top notch rebounder, leading the GWOC last season with over 10 boards a game. Add that and his 12 points he averaged as well and you have a double-double machine capable of destroying an opposing team.
Next season Duncan wishes to get his Vikings team to UD Arena and to take home a GWOC South championship. If he does return, with several pieces returning in the backcourt, Miamisburg can easily be one of the most dominant teams in Dayton. Hopefully, he will be able to do both sports.
One of the scariest things about Duncan Hall is he has not received any interest from any schools for basketball. Being a baseball commit means he likely will not take any offers seriously moving forward but this young man is still one of the most dominant basketball players in the city.
