Prospect Spotlight: Bryce Sosby (2018)

Jackson Center took a major blow this Spring when Brady Wildermuth took his talents to Findlay. With several shooters returning, including Bryce Sosby (2018), the Tigers will still be an incredible team with great talent.
Bryce had a great offseason for AAU and for his high school team.
“The team played great all summer…AAU went well, we won one tournament up in Lima and were competitive in all the rest”.
One reason for their success was having Sosby on the perimeter. Offensively, he has a dagger for a 3PT shot. Excelling in catch-and-shoot situations, Bryce can score but can distribute the ball as well. He possesses great ball-handling and passes the ball well forcing few turnovers. Defensively, Sosby is an absolute all-star. He can defend the perimeter very well, and even though he is a smaller player, can guard any size perimeter player that he faces. This toughness makes him a key asset in the Tiger defensive plans. Bryce still needs to improve his inside scoring. Although his shooting touch is amazing, he must be able to score inside and out in order for him to play at the next level.
Before graduating, Bryce wants to take home a league title for the Tigers in a Shelby County Athletic League that will be very competitive this year. He also wants to redeem himself in the districts. Last year, he and Jackson Center lost to a talented Tri-Village team 38-33 in overtime in the district title game. With the Tigers being a team historically known for making deep tournament runs, I have no doubt they will return, and also be competitive throughout Division 4. As of now, Sosby does not own any offers, but does have desire to play basketball in college.
