Powerade Finale Standouts: KC Pacers vs Raid Nation
Kansas City Pacers 2018 PG Diego Bernard: On of the fastest players that I have seen without a doubt, he gets up and down the floor in a hurry and is a great fit for a team that loves to push the pace offensively. He has a strong frame and plays the game with a higher level toughness than most youngsters his age, can score the ball but is a tremendous playmaker.
Kansas City Pacers 2018 Forward Mitchell Baack: At 6’7 with the ability to put the ball on the floor, he is a player that fits perfectly with the new age of big men. The lefty has a nice smooth game and reminded me of a young Steve Zimmerman who he plays his college ball at UNLV, he a nice pickup for a college program that looks for a skilled stretch forward player.
Kansas City Pacers 2018 Forward Aaron Gayman: Aaron is a ‘‘hard hat’’ player or what some would call a junk yard dog. He brings that workers mentality for the team and plays with a high amount of energy.
Raid Nation 2019 Brandon Hayden: This was Brandon’s first time playing with Raid Nation and he was one of the best players on the floor for the squad without a doubt. He showed no fear and attacked the defense consistently, knocking down the midrange jumper as well as the deep ball. He has a long wingspan and decent high for a wing at 6’3.
Raid Nation 2017 Tyshun Archie: One of the best athlete’s on the floor, made some plays above the rim and contested shots as well, once you add 6’4 height to the bounciness of his game then you have a very nice overall player.
Raid Nation 2018 PG Steph Lloyd: He didn’t have his best showing but did show some flashes of what we expected to see, he has nice acceleration and got to the basket at a pretty high rate. He’s a very unselfish player and a youngster to keep an eye on.
