PHI Senior Showcase: Mason’s Best Guards
Continuing our coverage of the PHI senior showcase last week, I take a look at the best guards I saw.
Hunter White/6’3/Tindley
White brought it at our showcase and in this type of environment you can really see what he can do. He scores the ball so well and once again he filled it up being one of the best players on the floor. White uses his height and length to finish over smaller defenders and works with other players well. The potential is definitely here and White has been showing it this summer.
Brigham Booe/6’/Northview
Booe is definitely a shooter and he wasn’t backing down in this one. He’s a tough, two-sport athlete and he wasn’t backing down from anyone at the showcase. He has a good shot but it wasn’t falling as much as it usually does. He has supreme confidence in everything he does on the court and it showed today.
Eric Moenkhaus/6’2/Greenwood
Moenkhaus has taken a couple steps forward this summer. He was more aggressive scoring the ball and once he got hot he stayed hot knocking down jumper after jumper. The most impressive part though of his day was his hustle. He was continually running down loose balls and had active hands on the ball. His ball handling looked really good on the day as well.
Cam Chadd/6’2/Southmont
I was interested to see what Chadd could do against better talent than he sees in high school and he really impressed me once again. He looks a lot better defensively and you can tell he has been working on his jumper. Chadd had great hands and looked really good running the open floor. He should be looked at by a ton of D3/NAIA schools in the coming year and a good July will certainly help that.
Christian Harvey/6’/Richmond
Harvey gets buckets and he definitely got them at our showcase. His jumper looks greatly improved and he was making them all over the place. He’s a bouncy guard who can get to the rim and score and he showed the coaches all of his abilities at the showcase. He received his first offer from Indiana Tech following the showcase.
