Breakdown: Our focus in this event was to get to seen more out-of-state teams and with that, we found plenty of talent. As far as the top standouts, Paxon Wojcik and A.J. Makinen looked the best. Paxon was playing up for Wolves and was still among their better players. Has size and skill to go to another level. Makinen was really impressive on the ball and with his command of the court, he makes everyone better around him. Local talent Spencer Piercefield continues his great summer shooting the lights out of the ball. As far as big men go, Cole Henry and David Skogman were pretty solid. Henry looks like he has a chance to be that face-up forward type to blow up really soon. I also really liked Glenbard West (IL) wing Evan Taylor. A guy we wouldn’t have known about except for his AAU coach handing out rosters, he went from unknown to a guy that is firmly on our radar.
