Impact Transfers: Part One
Jordan Atkinson – 6’0” PG – Ayden-Grifton HS (via Oakwood School) – 2019
Atkinson is an established guard prospect that already has a reputation as a scorer that can run a team. As a sophomore at Oakwood School, he averaged 19 points per game in addition to shooting 40% from 3 point range. He’ll immediately add scoring, stability and depth to a young but versatile backcourt at Ayden-Grifton HS.
Tracy Whitfield – 5’8” PG – Goldsboro HS (via Kinston High School) – 2018
When you think of speed and quickness, Whitfield possesses that and some more. He an electric athlete that is transferring due to family re-location. We got our first glimpse of him with his new team the East Coast Invitational team camp held in Jacksonville, NC a few weeks back. He got in the paint and to the rim at will against every opponent. Will be an extremely hard cover with his combination of athleticism, ball control and court vision.
Andreas Wilson – 5’11” G – Kerr Vance Academy (via Louisburg High School) – 2018
A scoring machine would be the best way to describe Andreas Wilson. A prolific scoring guard that put up a state high 57 points in a game last season. He makes shots from all angles, has several step-back moves, hesitations and moves extremely well without the ball. Doesn’t waste any time getting to his spots. Also is a threat to rise up and slam it home over multiple defenders. Will solidify the backcourt at Kerr Vance with current 30+ scorer Mike Bowers.
