We Got Next: Under The Radar Class of 2021 Prospects
As we prepare for another upcoming school year we get the chance to see a talented group of youngsters in the 2017 class move on to college while another group of young men begin their high school years and this is the class of 2021. Although we don’t like to speak too much on youngsters before the enter high school, there is a nice amount of talent and potential with group so let’s check out some of the names that you may want to know.
Guard Ronnie Thompson Jr: He may be leaving the state and heading to a different high school but if he stays in Jacksonville, NC he will headed to Northside. He still has to grow some more but he has all the tools to be that next special guard out of the area. He has a quick first step, can handle the ball, scores it over bigs and has a gift for passing.
Guard Khalil Marshall: Kahlil plays at a level well beyond his years, he’s shifty and can score the ball in multiple ways, if you put him on the floor with a large group of upperclassmen you still won’t notice much of a difference. He plays the game with confidence and will be a player that can make a nice impact for New Life Christian varsity squad.
Guard Kelton Battle: He’s already has experience at the varsity basketball level as he was the starting Point Guard at Berean Baptist Academy last year. He still young and finding his way but has the tools to be special, you have to like his ability to handle pressure when he’s handling the ball as well as embracing contact in the paint.
Guard Jovon Harbin: They have given him the nickname ‘‘J-Shooter’’, he can knock down the trey ball pretty well and has a nice amount of potential for the future. The lefty can get to his spots and once he adds some strength to his frame he will become that much more dangerous.
Guard Emmanuel Sepulved: During the last high school he played sparingly on the varsity squad but should see a much larger role this season, he’s quick with a gift to pass the ball and a very hard worker. He’s smaller in height but he plays the game with strength and energy, he’s one to keep a close eye on for Cape Fear Christian.
