Big Shots : Myrtle Beach 3 – 1st Day Standouts
Prep Hoops SC stayed at home and covered the Big Shots – Myrtle Beach 3 today. Here are some out of state standouts from the opening day of the event. Black Bear North and Blue Wave Elite 17U both reside out of the State of Maine. Both clubs head into the 2nd Day with 2-0 records.
Taylor Schildroth (2018) – George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME) / Black Bear North
Schildroth connected on several 3 pointers today. Schildroth scored 61 points in a game this past season vs Lee Academy. Schildroth was (20-36) from the floor and (12-21) from 3 point range. George Stevens Academy has won back to back Class C State Championships.
Schildroth 6’0 is a very confident shooter and it showed today.
Terion Moss (2018) – Portland HS (Portland, ME) / Blue Wave Elite 17U
Moss is ranked the #2 player in the 2018 Class in the State of Maine. Moss ranked the top point guard scored 36 points today with Prep Hoops in attendance. Moss helped his school win the AA State Championship Game and was named Gatorade Player of the Year for his efforts.
Moss averaged 17.6 ppg, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.6 assists this season. Moss got to the rack at ease today for his Blue Wave squad. Moss really has the ability to turn the corner quickly and get to the rack.
David Keohan (2018) – Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) / Blue Wave Elite 17U
Keohan was very efficient today around the basket. Keohan scored 41 points vs West Virginia Reign. Keohan scored 32 points on 16 baskets and just 1 three pointer in that span. Keohan is a very productive shooter (17-22) from the floor. Keohan 6’5 always seemed to be around the ball and never seemed to leave the floor.
Moss and Keohan were named 1st Team All-State Selections this past season.
Wol Maiwen (2019) – Edward Little HS (Auburn, ME) / Blue Wave Elite 17U
Maiwen is a big-time athlete that can dunk the ball off of 2 feet. Maiwen 6’3 is a long athletic wing player that excels in the transition game.
Keegan Records (2018) – South Kingston HS (Wakefield, RI) / Black Bear North (pictured on front)
Records averaged 18.3 ppg and 15.8 rebounds this season in high school. Records was a 1st Team All-State Selection. Records 6’7 (220) works for position in the paint and plays with his back to the basket. Records get the game winner to start the day at the buzzer vs West Virginia Flight. Records finished with 16 points.
