Baden I-85 Circuit Finals – 2018 Standouts
Prep Hoops SC took in the first round action at the Baden I-85 Circuit Finals yesterday at the Upward Center in Spartanburg, SC. Here is a look at some players who stood out in performance from the Palmetto State in the 2018 Class.
Ladarrius Foster (2018) – Gaffney HS / Upward Stars Upstate White 17U
Foster was a man in the paint today for the Upward Stars. Foster who to my surprise is not a football player has great footwork and really carves out in the paint. Foster had 13 rebounds in the game we watched today and was extremely active on both ends of the floor. Foster listed at 6’7 in the program is actually 6’4 on the floor. Foster was a mismatch on both ends of with his activity.
Bradley Childers (2018) – Gaffney HS / Upward Stars Upstate White 17U
Childers a combo guard came up big all day just like Foster on the short handed roster for Upward Stars Upstate White. Childers connected on several shots behind the arc. Childers scored 29 points while hitting 5 three pointers today. Childers seems to be better off the ball and give the Gaffney HS and Head Coach Mark Huff a great tandem for next season at the Burial Ground.
Jaron Williams (2018) – York Prep / Upward Stars York County 17U
Williams has been a hot name all spring and summer for the Upward Stars York County. Williams 6’6 combo forward has a great look to him and even motor on the floor. Williams rebounded the ball on both ends today with making plays around the basket. Williams has great length and connected on a few 12-14 foot jumpers today. Longwood Head Coach Jason Gee and Assistant Dr. Ron Bradley were sitting court side watching Williams play along with Wingate University.
