Each and every summer there are always a handful of prospects that emerge out of the pack,
and Drake London (Moorpark HS) is a prime example.
The 6-foot-5 London who is a member of the Southern California Class of 2019 projects to
being one of the Top 20 or so prospects in his class at this stage. This rangy lefty has a terrific
young frame with long arms and he is quite bouncy as well.
A typical sequence for London consists of snatching a rebound in traffic, leading the break, and
either dropping off a nifty assist or draining a 3-point shot. “My game is slowly coming together.”
explains London. ” I need to continue to work on my ball handling, specifically against pressure
to take my game to another level.”
London is one of the fastest rising prospects in Southern California.
London runs with the BTI Prospects, a veteran program under the guidance of Robert Icart. At
this stage he is still under the “Sleeper” category, but after eye-opening outings at the Pangos
All-West Camp as well as the Pangos Premier 80, his stock is soaring.
As a result of his offensive package, he stated the college interest is increasing. “I have received interest from Iowa, Stanford, Montana, and San Jose State.” Boise State and UC Santa Barbara have been seen at London’s game as well.
When July comes to an end, look for London to be one of the more well-known names in
Southern California grassroots basketball as he has the physical attributes and mindset to be a
stud.
