White Knoll Part 1
Prep Hoops was on the road at White Knoll HS this week. Here is some of the players that stood out.
Jordan Lytes Aiken HS 2018 (picture on front)
Lytes 6’0 point guard plays aggressive on both sides of the floor for Green Hornets. Lytes has a unorthodox shooting style. Lytes hit a few three pointers today. Lytes averaged 10.0 ppg last year for the Green Hornets. Lytes plays with Carolina Chaos during AAU season.
Kevin WilliamsonKevin Williamson Aiken HS 2018
Williamson plays with a high motor on both sides of the floor. Williamson really plays the passing lanes well and always seems to be very active on both ends of the floor. Williamson 6’3 can really shoot the ball and was a All-Region Performer last season. Williamson plays with Southern Kings on the AAU Circuit.
Deuce Dean York Prep Academy (Rock Hill) 2019
Dean transferred in from Dutch Fork HS where he averaged 8.8 ppg, 4.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds last year. Dean 6’4 point guard that leads the ball up the floor for the Patriots. Dean prefers to attack the basket and has great size for a point guard. Dean has informed Prep Hoops that Charlotte, The Citadel, Virginia Tech, Toledo, and Kansas State have offered him. Dean plays with Team Loaded North Carolina on the AAU Circuit.
DJ Burns York Prep Academy (Rock Hill) 2019
Burns a very skilled 6’8 power forward is always looking to get the ball down in the block and use his body to get leverage for his shot. Burns can shoot the fade-aways and mid-range jump shot. Burns has the ability to carve out space in the paint.
Burns recently played in the Nike Top 100 in St Louis.
Burns has informed Prep Hoops that South Carolina, Florida Gulf Coast, Auburn, Virginia Tech, College of Charleston, South Carolina State, North Carolina A&T, Winthrop, Tulane, Davidson, Western Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky, Oklahoma State, North Florida and LSU have offered him. Burns plays with the Georgia Stars on the EYBL Circuit.
Alex Powell York Prep Academy (Rock Hill) 2019
Powell 7’0 post has transferred in from Duluth (GA) HS to York Prep this year. Powell averaged 5.9 ppg and 7.6 rebounds per game for the Wildcats last year. Powell is a very athletic post player that has range and can also hit the three ball.
Powell block shots on the defensive end or rebound on both ends of the floor. Powell has informed Prep Hoops that Winthrop, North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast have offered him this spring.
Powell plays with Burns with Georgia Stars on the EYBL Circuit.
