University of Saint Francis Shootout 2020 and 2021 Standouts
Jake Archbold – 6’2” | G | Homestead | 2020
Jake Archbold was an unsung hero and major part of the success of the Homestead team a year ago. His tenacity and effort on the defensive end made him a crucial piece in their season. Jake has continued to show that he is an elite defender and takes his role on that end of the floor personally. He has continued to work on his offensive game and looked comfortable slashing to the basket this past week at Saint Francis. As he continues to gain confidence in his jumper, he will be a tough player to contain on the offensive end of the floor. He is strong and athletic and can finish through contact at the rim. He is one of the returning players with the most varsity experience and will be called on throughout the season in key points to make plays on both ends of the floor.

Jared Kistler – 6’4” | G/F | Homestead | 2021
Jared Kistler is an incoming freshman who has a chance to make an impact on the junior varsity team and potentially varsity by the end of the season. His frame is built for a slashing wing with his length and athleticism but has shown confidence and consistency in his jump shot early on. Jared rebounds the ball well out of the guard position. He attacks the glass on both ends of the floor with strength and good positioning. His passing is also another skill that comes natural. He will need to add some strength and quickness to his frame to play at the varsity level but he, alongside some other young talent for Homestead, will be a player to keep tabs on.
Preston Barker – 6’1” | G/F | Homestead 2021
Preston Barker is another up and coming Spartan prospect. He is a long and craft player with the ability to create shots for himself and his teammates. Although his offensive game is still in the works, he is good with his floor spacing and finding the open spots. He can guard positions one through four and rebounds exceptionally well for a young player playing at this level. Barker will need to continue working on his jumper and aggressiveness on the floor as he looks to be an impact player for Homestead this season on junior varsity and potentially varsity as well.

Blake Davison – 5’10” | PG | Leo High School | 2021
Blake Davison is the younger brother of Leo standout Jeremy Davison (2018) and is looking to follow in his brother’s foot-steps. He is crafty with the ball in his hands and sees the floor well as a point guard. His passing is one of his better skills and he also has the confidence to step up and knock down open jumpers. As he continues to grow and get stronger, he will be more confident getting to the basket and finishing inside. As a freshman guard, he handles the ball well under pressure and keeps his man in front of him on the defensive end. He, like his brother, is also good at reading the offense and jumping passing lanes. He will be a guard to keep watch on in the Fort Wayne area in the coming years.
