South Carolina State Team Camp – Stock Risers
Prep Hoops took in the action today from South Carolina State University Team Camp. Here are some kids that saw there stock rise for the future in this article.
Kevin Williamson (2018) – Aiken HS
Williamson 6’3 likes to slash to the basket and is very versatile when it comes to defending players on the floor. Williamson who has a high motor showed the ability to knockdown mid-range pull-up jumper.
De’lajae Ferguson (2018) – Colleton County HS (Walterboro)
Ferguson averaged 14.5 ppg, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals last season for the 15-10 Cougars. Ferguson can really elevate on his shot and finished well today at the basket. The Cougars return a good group of talent this season with 10 of the 14 players playing football this fall.
Maliek Wilcox (2018) – South Pointe HS (Rock Hill)
Wilcox is a shifty point guard who can get into the lane with ease. Wilcox used the crossover dribble several times today to get by defenders. Wilcox 6’0 is the leader of the Stallions offense. Wilcox plays with Upward Stars-York County on the AAU Circuit.
Marlow Gilmore (2019) – Hunter-Kinard-Tyler HS (Neeses) (pictured on front)
Gilmore was all over the floor today for the Trojans. Gilmore 6’5 left-handed wing player has great length and really likes to play above the rim. H-K-T is located near Orangeburg is a small Class A school. Gilmore runs AAU with the Columbia Hoyas. Gilmore averaged 20 ppg, 12.3 rebounds and 3.2 blocks this past season.
Shane McCravy (2019) – Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mount Pleasant)
McCravy 6’3 combo guard is back for his second season with the Land Sharks. McCravy started his career at Porter Gaud before heading to Oceanside Collegiate Academy last fall. The Land Sharks are starting just there 2nd season this coming fall. McCravy a streaky shooter brought the ball up the floor several times today. McCravy plays with the Southern Stampede on the EYBL Circuit.
Ceasare Edwards (2021) – Hartsville HS
Edwards 6’7 should see some quality minutes on the Red Foxes roster this season according to the coaching staff. Edwards has the ability to knockdown the 10-12 footer and has good length. Edwards keeps the ball up high when rebounding it and must get stronger with the ball. Edwards plays AAU with the Carolina Wolves NC 2k19.
