Schreiner goes off at OBU Team Camp
Oklahoma Baptist Team Camp got underway on Friday with some of the top teams in the state facing off. The morning action was dominated by a certain player who is rising in the 2018 Class, Brock Schreiner. He scored in all three phases of the game. When you first see the statue of Schreiner it is evident he is a smaller two guard.
However, do not judge the book by its cover because there is much more to his game. Schreiner is a sharp shooter with quickness allowing him to get to the rim. The short bursts of quickness help him get openings not just for his jumper shot, but with a floater and his drive to the rim.
He scored nearly 20 points in the first quarter against 6A competition with a running clock and made it look easy. Schreiner will be a small college prospect more and more schools will look at. He is a two guard that is best described as a player that can put the ball in the hoop consistently.
Schreiner projects to the NAIA or JUCO level. Colleges are always looking for players that can put the basketball in the hoop. One area Schreiner can improve upon is the defensive end. Players must make both sides of the ball a priority at all times.
The morning spotlight was Schreiners without a doubt. Not many schools are aware of his talents, look for that to change.
