Corbin’s Andrew Taylor has had himself quite the AAU season thus far. After leading the Redhounds to a 27-6 record (winning the 50th District title), while also averaging just under 30 points and 12 rebounds per game, Taylor has continued to make a name for himself playing on the Adidas Gauntlet Gold Circuit.
Taylor has picked up 10 Division 1 scholarship offers since the end of junior season. All together, Eastern Kentucky, Appalachian State, Winthrop, Furman, UT-Arlington, Elon, Stetson, Belmont, Wright State, Davidson, Vermont, Wofford, Penn, Air Force, Mercer, Cleveland State, and Presbyterian College have all offered the 6’3 standout guard from the 13th Region.
Visits to Davidson and Vanderbilt are planned in June.
Taylor started out the AAU season playing with 22 Vision out of Northern Kentucky. He now runs with Louisville Magic, another Adidas Gauntlet Gold program, and one of the tops in the country. During the Bob Gibbons event (presented by Hoop Seen), Taylor averaged over 21 points per game and was named as one of the tournament’s “Super Six”. He thrives in catch-and-shoot situations and is destined to be a solid Division 1 floor general wherever he chooses to go.
