Prospect Spotlight: Noah Robinson (2019)
Class of 2019 forward Noah Robinson is the only returning member of last years championship caliber team. With his experience, Noah will be the key element to a successful season for the Life Christian Academy Eagles.
As a large 6’4” prospect who looks to score from multiple spots on the court, Noah has been one of the most interesting 2019 prospects we’ve watched this summer. On Wednesday, Noah was most effective from about 15-feet away from the basket — he was able to facilitate to cutters and pass it to the opposite side or shoot a soft jump shot.
Noah showed he can also attack the basket off the catch with some good hard drives into the heart of the defense during Wednesday’s summer league game. I was very impressed with his footwork and agility in that sense. I would like to see him do more of that for Life Christian Academy and Seattle Pride.
I got a chance to catch up with Noah and get his take on how is high school career is panning out.
What would you consider your strengths and what are some of weaknesses?
“Some of my strengths are I can attack the rim and draw fouls and I can shoot from the outside and midrange and I can play good defense.” I need to improve my ball handling, speed and agility and my jumping ability. I just want to improve everything and improve everyday.”
What AAU team are you playing for and how is that going?
“I’m playing for Seattle Pride and the season is going really well. We are at a pause right now because of summer league but we have won a few tournaments and we have some more coming in July.”
What is recruitment looking like for you?
“Recruitment is starting to heat up. I’ve been invited to camps I just need to go to them so I can really be looked at but most of the time it’s just schools inviting me to camps.”
After running into Mark Lovelady the head coach at Life Christian Academy. This is what he had to say about his young forward…
“Noah has about another 1-2 inches to grow and we will keep working on him giving 100% at all times on the floor. This summer he has already shown a lot of improvement and growth in that area. I think he is a D3 type player for sure.”
I agree with coach. He is skilled post player and can help a really good D3 program.
Here goes a little footage of his summer league game vs. the White River Sting…
