Prospect Spotlight: 2019 Donte Mitchell (Video)
Donte Mitchell is a skilled point guard who puts in a ton of work of the floor and it shows each time he takes the court. He has an excellent pull-up game in both 3-point and midrange territory and is even more deadly in catch-and-shoot situations with his feet set.
Mitchell also has a smooth release and a great feel for the game as a scorer and passer. He has received some light interest from teams on the next level but all have been hesitant to offer due to his 5-foot-10 frame.
Regardless of his size, though, Mitchell can flat out play. His father, who also trains a variety of players in the metro area, is 6-foot-5, though, so they’re both hoping for a late growth spurt. Mitchell is just under a 3.0 GPA and hasn’t taken the ACT yet.
