Peterson has the chance to lead Edmond North
It is not often that a team wins a state championship and looses nearly the entire roster. For Edmond North that is the case! It won’t be an easy road for the defending champions. With so many players from the past two playoff runs graduated it gives a younger player the chance to step up. The player to point toward is Cooper Peterson. The chance is there for Peterson to take control and be a force for the Huskies next season.
At Oklahoma Baptist Team Camp, Peterson showed off just why he has this chance with his shot making ability. One thing that was great to see from Peterson on the court was he was intense and vocal. The more vocal he is with his leadership the farther Edmond North will go.
Peterson can lead with his offensive talents on the court, but it will also be on him to step up in the locker room off the court. If Peterson can continue to develop he has the chance to be a really good Division II prospect coming out of the 2019 Oklahoma Class. He has a beautiful jump shot and is adding in some moves off the bounce.
The biggest improvement in Peterson’s game this summer is clearly his court vision. He threw several dimes to teammates for open backdoor looks on Friday at Oklahoma Baptist.
The choice is up to Peterson, but he has a chance to step up in a huge way for Edmond North on and off the court.
