NTBA Summer Jam Tournament Standouts: Class of 2017
Fayetteville Elite Wing Telligence Johnson: Hands down, Telligence was the most athletic player at the event, he finished plays above the rim at a high rate and protected the paint on the defensive end coming up with big time block after block. He’s headed to FTCC this fall and there is no doubt in my mind that he can be a 20 PPG a night type of player for them.
Fayetteville Elite PG A.J Baldwin: If you can find a better true PG than this young man you would have to show me personally he does just about everything you want for your Point Guard and has the skills that will easily translate to the next level.
Fayetteville Flash Guard Trevor Jenkins: Has a nice blend of athletic ability and shooting, he’s especially productive from the wing. He knocked down shots to help his team offensively but what impressed me the most was how hard he played and hustled on both ends of the floor. He provided extra possessions for his teams just by how hard he played and hustled, every team that wins has a hustle player and Jenkins was that guy got the Flash.
Fayetteville Magic Joel Jones: Jones played well throughout, he continues to improve each time we see him, has decent size for a forward but has a long with span and is very athletic. He was productive when playing from the free throw line and elbow, he should fit it very well at the next level at Montreat College.
Rock City Thunder C.J Claudette: One of the best passing bigs at the event, it’s rare that you see a youngster that is so unselfish and looks to get his teammates involved instead of looking for his own offense. He’s about 6’6, with a body that already makes it looks as If he is ready to play on the next level, he automatically gets your attention.
Fayetteville Elite Omari Wilson: Part of the reason Fayetteville Elite has won so many championships this year is due to the stellar play of Omari Wilson, he brings so much to a team such as: scoring, rebounding, aggressiveness and defense.
