Coker College Team Camp – Stock Risers
Prep Hoops SC was back on the road today here in the Palmetto State at Coker College in Hartsville. Coker College is a NCAA D2 program. Here are some players that saw there stock rise today with some very solid play.
Daniel Finney (2019) – A.C. Flora HS
Finney 6’5 was all over the court today for the Falcons. Finney a combo forward has the ability to hit the baseline jumper and has great hands in the paint. Finney on several occasions rebounded the ball out of his area and finished around the cup. Finney plays AAU with Karolina Khaos 16U.
Donovan Belton (2018) – Camden HS
Belton was the surprise of the day here at Coker College Team Camp. Belton 6’2 left-handed wing player is a GREAT passer with unreal court vision. Belton left-handed several times led the break and finished in transition. Belton hit countless mid-range jumpers in one game today versus Darlington Belton recorded 26 points and 16 rebounds.
Belton was a All-Region performer for the Bulldogs this season.
Bryson Mozone (2018) – North Augusta HS
Mozone has had a great summer according to Yellow Jackets Head Coach Tony Harrell. Mozone 6’4 has solid academics according to Harrell. Mozone a small forward can hit the 3 ball or knockdown the mid-range jumper. Mozone has great length. Mozone would be a good fit for a NCAA D2 program.
Ahkeem Lawson (2018) – Lakewood HS (Sumter) (pictured on front)
Lawson has really stepped up his game in the past year. Lawson 6’6 power forward can step out and hit the 12-14 footer now. Lawson left-handed post player is pretty nimble around the basket with his footwork. Lawson filled the lane in transition and caught everything thrown to him in the paint today. Lawson started his career at Sumter HS before transferring over to Lakewood HS last season. Lawson plays AAU with the South Carolina Supreme.
Shamon Alston (2019) – Indian Land HS (Fort Mill)
Alston 6’4 guard plays AAU with Upward Stars Southeast 2019. Alston a very versatile guard can really get to the rim. Alston disrupted plenty of passes today with his length. Alston has nice elevation on his perimeter shot when he decides to shoot it from there.
