Coker College Team Camp : Under the Radar
Prep Hoops SC really liked what they saw at the Coker College Team Camp today for talent. Here are some kids that might not be household names throughout the state that played well today and remain under the radar.
Jerrick Palmer (2018) – Indian Land HS (Fort Mill)
Palmer 6’0 was all over the floor today for the Warriors. Palmer really didn’t have a true position on the floor not a ball-handler or a shooting guard. Palmer seemed to just be a guard who played every possession like it was his last. Palmer averaged 11.5 ppg last season for the Warriors.
Donovan Belton (2018) – Camden HS (pictured on front)
Belton 6’2 was a pleasant surprise for us here at Prep Hoops SC. Belton plays on the AAU Circuit with the SC Ballers 17U. Belton a left-handed wing today was all over the floor and glass for the Bulldogs. We liked Belton so much today we made sure he was in the latest version of Stock Risers from Coker College Team Camp.
Cameron Jefferson (2018) – Camden HS
Jefferson 5’10 guard leaked out a lot today in transition for some cheapies. Jefferson uses his body well to fight off defenders and has great body control. Jefferson and Belton both play AAU basketball with the South Carolina Ballers 17U
Terrell Houston (2018) – Lakewood HS (Sumter)
Houston recently came over to the Gators from nearby Laurence Manning Academy (Manning). Houston won’t overwhelm you with athleticism and he plays kinda of like a old man at the YMCA. Houston will hit the open shot and can knockdown the 3 pointer. Houston feels for more comfortable playing off the ball.
Tyshaun Richardson (2019) – Waccamaw HS (Pawleys Island)
Richardson is a tough kid as he was all over the floor today for the Warriors. Richardson 5’10 guard looks to attack the basket when given chance. Richardson dove on the floor on more than a few occasions today. Richardson really likes to play fast and gets a bit out of control at times.
