2020 Rankings Breakdown: Possible Summer Stock Boosters
As the breakdowns for the 2020 player rankings conclude, we aim to highlight those who we believe could see an uptick in recruitment this summer.
Below, we run down some possible summer stock boosters that might not necessarily have been included in the rankings:
MARTAZ ROBINSON | 6’0 G | NEW TOWN/TEAM BBC | #23 OVERALL
Robinson is a shifty lead guard who enjoys getting others involved, but is also a tremendous scoring threat. He changes speeds well with the ball. Robinson is an adept paint getter who seeks contact, and can finish well in traffic.
CHURCHILL BOUNDS | 6’7 F | STEPHEN DECATUR/TEAM DURANT | #25 OVERALL
Bounds is a sturdily built power forward prospect who displays a nice inside out skill set. Not only does he have great hands, but Bounds also has touch, a high motor, and also sets good screens.
KYREE FREEMAN-DAVIS | 6’1 G | BOWIE/DC BLUE DEVILS | #30 OVERALL
Freeman-Davis had a productive freshman year at Bowie, and is off to a good start with the DC Blue Devils on the UAA. He’s a strong guard who lives in the lane, and gives max effort each time he hits the floor.
SPENCER HAYES | 6’5 G | ST. ANDREW’S | UNRANKED
Hayes is a high IQ wing both on and off the floor, where he sports a 3.5 GPA. At 6’5, he has good length, athleticism, and a strong motor. We were very intrigued by him at Maryland Team Camp, and are excited to see him develop and grow.
TREYVON TODD | 6’10 C | ST. JOHN’S/DC PREMIER | UNRANKED
Todd has come a long way since last fall when we saw him for the first time at Bishop O’Connell open gym. We like what we’ve seen from Todd this summer with St. John’s. He’s playing hard, and is now confident enough to make moves with his back to the basket. The long-limbed 6’10 rising sophomore could be a late bloomer, but he’s beginning to make strides in the right direction.
