Below, we continue our breakdown of the Beltway area guards that were included in the rankings:
MARIAL MADING | 6’8 F | GORETTI/TEAM THRILL | #12 OVERALL
Mading displays a unique blend of size and skill. The rising junior is still developing confidence in the low post as he continues to grow into his body, but he’s very good on the perimeter where he is a mismatch problem.
KAMARI WILLIAMS | 6’6 F | ST. ANDREW’S/DC BLUE DEVILS | #20 OVERALL
Williams plays with a high motor, and can shoot the lights out. The long and lanky wing is very athletic, and gets off the floor in a hurry. Williams is an active and versatile defender.
NATE LEMONS | 6’8 F | ANACOSTIA/TEAM ST8MENT | #21 OVERALL
Lemons is a sturdily built forward who can stretch the defense with his ability to make shots from the perimeter. The lefty is also a strong finisher inside. Lemons consistently utilizes his length to contest and alter shots at the rim.
DEJEAN DESIRE | 6’5 F | GEORGETOWN PREP/DC BLUE DEVILS | #27 OVERALL
One of the best on ball defenders in the area, Desire is showing signs of development offensively. The long limbed wing exhibits an improved perimeter jumper, and confidence off the bounce.
CHARLIE WEBER | 6’7 F | O’CONNELL/6TH MAN WARRIORS | #36 OVERALL
Weber has been a major impact player in the BSN Summer League since his arrival at O’Connell. The Huntingtown product is a knock down shooter with a strong motor and excellent hands.
