2018 Stock Risers
The North Carolina class of 2018 is going to end up rivaling the class of 2016 in overall talent. Here is a look at some 2018 stock risers who have had strong showings this spring.
Silas Love 6’6 F Hoke County/Team Felton-Love is about 6’7 with long arms and nice athleticism, he uses his length to cause problems for guards and smaller bigs. He’s also a very gifted rebounder, shot blocker, and solid finisher inside the paint.
Zach NewkirkJalen Johnson 5’10 G Northern Durham/ Durham Hurricanes -Guard with impressive upper body strength that can get to wherever he wants to go without much of an issue. Has a smooth shooting form as well and communicates well with coaches and teammates on the floor.
Zach Newkirk 6’0 PG Mt. Zion/Team Wall-Smooth scoring guard who can knock down shots from all over the floor. Has strong bloodline as his brother Josh plays at Indiana.
Immanuel Bates 6’9 F Northwood Temple/Team Loaded NC-7’2 wingspan, long, corals rebounds and can block shots, has god footwork on the post. Is staring to gain national interest and has been picking up some offers since a strong spring.
Michael Wynn 6’5 SF Liberty Heights/Team Loaded VA-Crafty scoring guard, really good defender, knows how to get into the paint and score or dish. A winner who will contribute as a freshman. Has been one of the major stock risers of the spring since joining up with Team Loaded VA.
Justice Goodloe 5’10 PG Winston-Salem Prep/Team Winston-One of the quicker guards in the state, Goodloe is great in transition and can finish with contact. ESPN’s Paul Biancardi says, “Goodloe is a Division One prospect.”
Kody Shubert-5’11 PG Lincoln Charter/Team Charlotte A natural scorer who lets the game come to him or can take over a game at will. Possesses a strong will to win. Can shoot with the best in the state. Has had a strong spring with Team Charlotte showing his ability to score the basketball.
