Mid-Major 2018 Recruits

There is not much difference from a basketball standpoint in a recruit that can play at the high-major level or a recruit that would be valuable at the mid-major level. The difference may come down to a little better skill set or maybe a few inches in height.

Davien Williamson of Team Winston is one of the more electrifying prospects in the 2018 class. His speed and creativity in the open court sets him a part from many other guards. He is a player that could immediately help a mid-major program or come in a be a player that could be a great practice player/contribute in a year at the high-major level.

Kody Shubert 5’11 PG Lincoln Charter/ Team Charlotte-A natural scorer who lets the game come to him or can take over a game at will. Possesses a strong will to win. Can shoot with the best in the state.kody-shubert

Zach Newkirk 6’0 PG Mt. Zion/Garner Road-Smooth scoring guard who can knock down shots from all over the floor. Has strong bloodline with brother Josh who played at Pittsburgh and Indiana. Zach is making a name for himself as a underrated guard in the senior class.

Elbert Ellis 5’10 PG Faith Assembly/Team Felton-Crafty, really good scorer and able to get his shot off from anywhere on the floor. Has a knack for getting into the lane and can finish with either hand.

Isaac Suffren 6’2 SG Providence Day/Carolina Wolves-Smart player with a high basketball IQ, knows where to make the right pass and doesnt make mistakes. Has high major athletic ability and can score off the dribble.

Jalin Gamble 6’8 F/C High Point Andrews/Team Felton-Big, lengthy, grabs rebounds, blocks shots with a 6-foot-11 wing-span.
