West Seattle Showdown Standouts
The West Seattle Showdown showcased some of the best young talent in the Seattle area. While some play above the rim others have a various assortment of ballhandling moves that can get the crowd hyped.
Here are some of the more notable standouts so far this weekend…
Kevin Porter Jr – 6’5 – Rainier Beach
The already heavily recruited Kevin Porter Jr has been putting on a show this morning with some huge rim rocking dunks and some flashy passes. Scoring 20 points in the opener he had five of some of the most hard dunks I’ve seen from a high school kid so far this summer.
Tre anderson – 6’2 – Lincoln High
This young stud has already made a name for himself as one of the leaders at the point guard position. With a convincing win over Seattle academy early this morning once again he has shown he will lead the Lincoln Abe’s back to the Tacoma Dome in March.
Isiah Hart – 6’0 – Sealth
With an already loaded roster for Sealth high school. This young star doesn’t waste time when the lights come on. Some people might say he is under sized but from what I saw this morning he plays a lot taller than he looks. Dishing out many assist and putting defenders on skates is what he does best.
Brock MacKenzie – 6’3 – Eastside Catholic
Brock can play on the ball or off the ball and still finds a way to be successful. Playing against some of the best guards we have in the Seattle area he still is able to compete at a high-level and has shown time and time again why he is a high D1 recruit.
Nolan Hickman – 6’0 – Eastside Catholic
Nolan is not a back down type of player. He plays with the grit and grim you need a undersized point guard to play with. Never judge a book by its cover and I promise you if you judge Nolan Hicksman he might drop 30 on you. Coming in as a freshman he’ll need to keep that kind of attitude and high energy to ensure a starting spot in a tough EC roster.
