Breakdown: Maybe the best thing this class of 2018 group has going for it is it’s toughness. More so than in recent years, you see a group of guys that play hard and physical. Above is our list of the ten best we have seen and this is taking out the likely football prospects that could usually make up half this group. These are all likely basketball players and in one way or many ways, exudes the toughness that makes college coaches swarm.
When looking at this group, you have guys on the ball like Tyler Watson, Brigham Booe, and Hayden Langkabel. An amazing group of guards that will outplay anyone on any night. Watson is more of the super aggressive and kind of vocal guy, Langkabel the very quite but tough guard, and Booe is the multi-sport athlete that overpowers everyone. This group is among the more coveted trio of points guards for small colleges than in recent memory.
Then, you have more physically overpowering guys like Romeo Langford. Langford isn’t a vocal guy but he’s just plainly better than everyone and doesn’t take any plays off. He’s a Top 3 player nationally for a reason.
Among some of the other standouts in this group, we really like guys like Antwaan Cushingberry and Cole Jenkins. Both guys are extremely vocal and have that cockiness to them which isn’t always a bad thing. Cushingberry is a smaller guard but has a tough build and will have no issues taking it at you at any moment. Jenkins is a 6’0 guard with athleticism and that toughness gets brought out a ton when he is ramped up.
