Breakdown: With this class, you have quite a bit of talent. The ability to shoot is fairly well covered at all levels of talent. One of the best pure shooters in the state is Ben Davis’ Aaron Henry. His mid-range and deep jumpers are pure and he can hit any shot he needs to at any time. His AAU team Eric Hunter is another one that has made a living off of his ability to shoot but may be a bit more potent as he takes more shots overall.
This summer has provided a bit of a restructuring of Jarron Coleman and Myja White’s games. Coleman has reeled himself in a bit and it looks like his efficiency has improved a ton making him more valuable. White was much more passive and needed to be drawn out a bit. He’s done that this summer and been one of the biggest producers on the Adidas Gauntlet.
Maybe the best pure shot maker outside of Henry is that of Hayden Langkabel. The 6’0 guard can create in a multitude of ways and can really rack up points. His pull-back mid-range jumper is one of the best moves we have seen this spring. He’s become a major commodity because of his ability to makes shots and play on the ball.
Long range shooters are always easier to find than pure shot makers and there are a few really good ones in this class. Jeremy Szilagyi, Carson Blair, and Colin York are all guys that if you play them properly, you can just feed them and let them rip of threes all game long. Szilagyi had one of the best performances of the year shooting the ball for Fishers when he lit up Indianapolis Manual for 23 points on 5/6 shooting from behind the arc. Jeff Reynolds can give you more of that inside-out punch with their ability to create in the mid-range and then step out beyond the arc to shoot.
