Team Takeover 17 & U wins all 4 games in Nike EBYL Session 3, Atlanta.
TTO went 4-0 in Nike EBYL Session III in Atlanta and improved to 8-4 for the season. Jalen Smith got a big boost with the addition of 6’11” 2019 Hunter Dickinson becuase before he was TTO’s only big.
W TTO 63, Mebo Team Hood (MS) 52. Jalen Smith led the way for TTO with 19 points, 3 blocks & 13 boards, while Brandon Slater chipped in with 11 points & 8 rebounds. Tre Wood had a very nice floor game with 5 assists & 4 steals, while Bryce Golden scored 8 points, Xavier Johnson made all 3 of his shots for 6 points, and Hunter Dickinson grabbed 5 rebounds. New addition to TTO, 6’4″ 2018 G Miles Latimer (Paul VI HS) added 5 points & grabbed 3 rebounds. Team Hood was led by 6’3″ 2018 G Jared Butler’s 21 points, while 6’1″ 2018 G Gabe Watson added 13 points & 4 assists, but shot just 3-15. 6’10”, 2018 F Tolu Smith III made all 3 shots for 6 points. The game had a lot of turnovers, 23 from TTO & 19 from Mebo Team Hood whose record is now 5-7 after Session III.
W TTO 78, Team South Beach (FL) 70. Myles Dread had a great game and lead TTO with 20 points, Xavier Johnson played fantastic scoring 15 points on 9-11 FTs, had 4 rebounds, 4 assists & 0 Turnovers. Anthony Harris hit 4 of 5 shots with 3 rebounds, 3 assists & 2 steals, Tre Wood scored 7 points with 3 assists, 2 rebounds & 3 steals and Jalen Smith added 9 points in just 14 minutes. Hunter Dickinson scored 4 points & collected 5 rebounds. 6’7″ 2018 F Darruis Days (Rock HS ) who is rated in the nations top 80 players. led South Beach scoring 18 points points on 4-5 shooting, collected 7 rebounds & dished out 3 assists. 6’8″ 2018 SF Khavon Moore (Westside HS, Nacon Ga) who is ranked #9 in the nation, added 8 points, 5 rebounds & 5 assists, 6’0″ 2018 PG DJ Murray of Peblebrook HS (GA) scored 10 points & had 4 assists & 3 steals. 6’6″ 2018 G Dre Fuller Jr. totaled 10 points, 2 assists & 3 rebounds for Team South Beach whose record is 5-7 after Session III.
W TTO 75, Seattle Rotary (WA) 70. Balanced scoring and low turnovers were big factors in TTOs win over Seattle Rotary today. Brandon Slater scored 14 points on 4-5 shooting & 5-5 FTs. Xavier Johnson was very effective scoring 13 points which included 7-8 foul shots & retrieved 4 rebounds, while Hunter Dickinson added 8 points on 3-5 shooting & grabbed 4 rebounds. Bryce Golden was very solid scoring 12 points on 5-9 FGs & collected 4 boards, while Anthony Harris added 11 points. TTO was 3-8 on 3 pointers while Seattle Rotary was 9-21. University of Washington commit, 6’5″ 2018 G Kevin Porter Jr. (Ranier Beach HS, Seattle,WA) is ranked # 70 in the nation & he scored 27 points on 8-13 FGs, & grabbed 5 rebounds. 6’3″ 2019 G PJ Fuller ranked #29 nationally & who played for last years National Champion Nathan Hale HS in Seattle, totaled 18 points, 4 rebounds & 3 assists. 6’8″ 2019 260 lb C Phillip Pepple II added 6 rebounds, 4 star 6’3″ 2019 PG Noah Williams was limited to 4 points, 6’6″ 2018 SF Top 250 ranked Emmet Matthews scored 6 points, 6’10” 2108 Seattle Prep C Nick Lynch totaled 7 boards. Seattle Rotary fell to 3-9.
W TTO 58, E1T1 United (FL) 50. This was a very big win for TTO as E1T1 United entered the game 9-2 defeating Boo Williams (VA) whose record is now 10-2 & Team Melo now 8-4. . Jalen Smith led TTO with 15 points on 7-11 fgs, collected 6 rebounds & blocked 4 shots. Myles Dread had an excellent overall game scoring 10 points on 5-10 FGs, grabbed 5 boards, dished out 5 assists Anthony Harris scored 11 points on 4-7 shooting. Xavier Johnson scored 4 points, grabbed 4 rebounds & totaled 3 assists, Bryce Golden scored 8 points, Tre Wood had 4 assists & 2 rebounds, and Hunter Dickinson collected 4 boards. 5 star 6’7′” 2018 F Emmit Williams (IMG Academy) is ranked #17 in the nation & was limited to 8 points, but collected 10 rebounds for E1T1 United. 6’5″ 2018 G Will Richardson who is ranked #54 nationally, scored 11 points & collected 8 rebounds, 5’10” 2018 PG Nick Honor ranked in the top 200 players nationally, added 10 points. 2018 5 star 6’8″ Forward Silvio DeSousa of IMG Academy scored 9 points, collected 10 rebounds & blocked 4 shots. 2018 6’5″ Atwann Jones ranked #47 nationally added 7 points. 6’5″ 2018 3 star PF Bryce Workman was limited to 2 points. 6’10” 2018 forward Jalen Smith of Mt. St. Joseph HS in Baltimore has more than lived up to his 5 star rating & is having a fantastic spring for Team Takeover 17 & U this spring.
Myles Dread of Gonzaga HS has had some very big games for Team Takeover this spring and he is one of the best all around players in the DMV & underrated @ # 216 in the nation for 2018. Penn State is getting a great player and a winner in Myles.
2018 PG Tre Wood who has numerous D1 offers, but he is very underrated at being ranked #274 in the nation. Tre has been a very important floor general for Team Takeover this spring & was key player for TTO this Session.
6’3″ 2018 PG Xavier Johnson who plays for Bishop O’Connell HS played very well this session. The 2nd Team ALL WCAC selection has several D1 offers, just receiving one from Tulane and in our opinion will soon be ranked nationally.
2019 CG Anthony Harris of Paul VI HS is ranked #65 in the nation & he more than proved his ranking this weekend in Atlanta. Anthony already holds offers from WVU, Virginia Tech & UCF.
6’6.5″ 2018 wing Brandon Slater had a very big game in Team Takeovers win against Seattle Rotary leading TTO with 14 points on near perfect shooting. Brandon has many D1 offers as the # 36 player in the nation, but many think he will choose between Maryland, Louisville, Villanova, and Virginia.
