Stock RIsers: 2019 Wing Prospects
The spring session of the AAU circuit is just about over and we are taking a long look at some of the top players we saw this spring. With this, we want to take a look at some of the biggest risers in the class from the last few months. Here are the top 2019 prospects that have improved their stock.
Mark Smith – 6’4 | SF | Zionsville (IN) | GP Premier 2019-Pace – Mark has been one of the biggest risers this spring mainly because he was a guy that didn’t have a ton of skill or confidence but he looks completely different now and is producing. Ball handling and his jumper have really improved and made him into a legit player.
Armaan Franklin – 6’4 | SG | 2019 | Fishers (IN) | G3 Grind 2019 – Franklin has just taken off this spring. He’s improved in nearly every area of his game but the biggest his mentality. He’s attacking constantly and doing it using his athleticism. So much upside and he’s tapping into now. Has solidified his LM stock with plenty of room to grow.
Keion Brooks Jr. – 6’7 | SF | 2019 | Fort Wayne North (IN) | Spiece Indy Heat 2018 – As if Brooks was good enough already, he’s shown improvements in his athleticism and agility. He’s dunking the ball in more creative ways with a quick second jump and slashing ability. Gets off the floor so quickly that you can’t keep up with him even on the EYBL circuit.
Sam DeVault – 6’7 | PF | 2019 | Evansville Memorial (IN) | G3 Grind 2019 – DeVault is another guy that has improved this spring. He’s gotten a bit more consistent and is really shooting the ball well. He’s still a work in progress in terms of other avenues of scoring but for his size, he provides a lot of offense from the wing.
